Cranking of a profiled sheet means that lateral rib indentations are pressed in the sheet at a uniform distance of 25mm.

Standard cranking is made with a narrow flute upper most and bent away from the angular inclination.

Reverse cranking is made with the bend into the narrow flute.

Cranking of a sheet can be at any position along the length of the sheet.

Cranking radii ranging from 350mm to 800mm for cranking which is bent through 0 - 135 degrees, larger radii would be classified as a curve.

The maximum sheet length that can be cranked is 15000mm, with a maximum height of 2000mm.

The minimum run out from the cranking is 30mm on one side with a minimum of 500mm on the other side of the sheet.

To make sure that consistent lengths are always being supplied to the customer, you must clearly identify the critical end of the cranking.

The maximum height of center and off-center cranks, which can be manufactured, is 2000mm with a limitation of 10000mm in total sheet length.

These limitations are because of handling and transport restrictions. High tensile material can only be cranked to a minimum radius of 450mm.
